MY PEARSCALE AND FRIENDS

 (My Aquarium)

A QUICK TRIVIA ABOUT MY PEARSCALE
It was summer, when my friend invited us to his boarding house. I was hesitant to go at first because of my laziness.  As we went in his boarding I was mesmerized in his aquarium I saw three cute fishes with pot– bellied appearance, which I thought they were pregnant.  That was the day I start liking fishes specially those pot-bellied goldfish. They have the power to relieve my stress. Every time I’m feeling bad I will just look at them and I’m good.
HOW DID I START MY AQUARIUM?
I was planning of setting up an aquarium with beach like appearance. I bought white rocks and corals as my substrate.Since my goldfish are omnivorous I decided not to grow any plants. I bought an overhead filter so that I can maintain the cleanliness of my aquarium.

LET ME INTRODUCE THEM:

Hannabi, Amara and Amanda

Hannabi, Amara and Amanda are an example of Pearlscale Goldfish. It is an egg-shaped variety of goldfish. The body is short, stubby, and compact. It has a straight back and swollen belly, resembling a golf ball, and it is usually twin tailed.

QUICK TIPS:

Just like any pet in the house, fish needs a good care for it to look good. Taking good care of fish is no easy task and it requires great commitment. The following ideas and tips will help you in caring for fish:

Always keep your aquarium clean. The water needs to be kept clear all the time. Anytime you notice a color change in the water it is important to clean the tank, by changing the water, this will get rid of all the bacteria and other decaying material in the water. Change your water at least once a week, in changing only take 30% of the water to prevent the goldfish from stress.

Always keep the right oxygen levels inside the aquarium. Remember for your fish to survive it is important to maintain the right oxygen levels in the aquarium tank. If there is a low oxygen concentration in the tank, your goldfish will hang on top of the water. The oxygen levels in the tank can be controlled by keeping the tank in a cool place to lower the temperatures, when the temperatures are lowered the oxygen levels inside the tank will raise.

Feed your fish according to their feeding behavior. Do not over-feed because this poses a risk of death. Always feed your fish with all the necessary nutrients.

Observe your fish for diseases and parasites. Just like other pets, fishes are also at a risk of being attacked by diseases and parasites. It is important to be observant.
